NASA satellites to help California’s drought crisis

While much of the USAhas been experiencing the worst snows and rainfall in memory, California has been suffering from the opposite problem, leading to NASA to step in to assist.

The drought-hit state will use two NASA satellites to scan water levels and snowpacks in order to get a better understanding of what steps need to be taken to reverse this unexpected drought.

The satellites will be launched later this year.
