I have a question that has been bugging me for years.

Simples

Imagine that your brain is like a train station and has loads of trains (thoughts) going in and out all the time, sometimes your brain connects to the wrong area of your mind and thinks its connected to your memory and is recalling an event whereas its actually connected to your fore brain, the collection area of new events and confuses itself, actually mistaking present events as past memories.
Considering all your brain does, its surprising that it doesn't make mistakes more frequently, you could try confusing yourself with optical illusions, that's fun, or really mess with your head by trying to figure out one of those 2D images that if you refocus your eyes in front or behind the image, reveals a 3D image. If any one ever tells you we only use 5% of our brain tell em it may be true in your case but I've stored a lifetimes set of sounds smells and images in mine.

Cool Huh
