Inventor Colin Furze has narrowed down Britain’s top 10 suggestions for the future of travel

Back in February, we spoke to wacky inventor and YouTube sensation Colin Furze about his latest project to find the future of travel. As part of Ford’s Unlearn campaign he asked his millions of YouTube subscribers to suggest ideas for a crazy new transport method that he would then build.

Since then the video has had over 379,571 views and received over 12,000 comments, with suggestions for everything from human tank tracks to a flying car. A clever computer algorithm was then used to analyse the comments and generate a top 10 of the most popular ideas.

After combining a few ideas from the top 10, Colin has now revealed his plans for his futuristic mode of transport… a personal flying machine.

“I’ve loved reading people’s suggestions for new modes of transport and I was overwhelmed by the scale of the response,” said Colin. “I’m really looking forward to incorporating their ideas into my final design.”
