Digital literacy, STEM, engineering and coding skills, are high on the agenda and parents increasingly seek options outside school for kids to get a step on to the digital ladder. Our mission at www.techcamp.org.uk is to ‘inspire tomorrow’s inventors’, at Winchester (residential) or Chelsea, Harrow, Abingdon, Weybridge and Coventry.
At Tech Camp we have seen a marked increase in demand for coding and engineering courses from both boys and girls, not just because it helps teach persistence, logic and problem solving – but because kids just find the challenge fun!
Build robots, inventions and computer games this summer as you learn coding at Tech Camp’s exciting courses. All single-day and week-long courses are open to ages 9-17. You can design and build your own Bluetooth speaker, create your own gadgets in ‘Gadget Factory’ and even give a robot a brain transplant! Prices start at £120 for a day course and you take all your creations home.
We encourage kids to acquire new technical skills – either on the computer or via a soldering iron – working with those engineers of tomorrow to encourage design, practical skills and foster the ability to learn from those inevitable mistakes. www.techcamp.org.uk
