Whoop

Price: £169 / $199 per month

Whoop is a wearable health monitor that can track your sleep and give you real-time feedback. The wrist-bound tracker supplies a ‘sleep performance score’ which incorporates several factors from your night’s sleep. These include not only the amount of sleep you had, but also how it compares against previous sleeps and recommended sleeping levels. It also incorporates the level of ‘sleep stress’ you experience. Data about your sleep is collected from the built-in accelerometer, gyroscope and photoplethysmography sensors, which measure blood flow and volume in the capillaries.

Pod 5 core

Price: £2,749 / $3,049

Bedrooms are a battleground for duvet dominance. In this tug of war for warmth, there’s always a winner and a loser. However, smart mattresses such as the Pod 5 Core can customise the temperature for each side of the bed and wave the white handkerchief for duvet duelling. The intuitive design of the Pod 5’s autopilot feature tracks your sleep and makes temperature adjustments to improve your sleep over time. There’s also the option to have the smart mattress gently vibrate and warm your side of the bed to act as a ‘gentle alarm’ when it’s time to wake up.
