Pars lifeguard drone helps save people from drowning

Iranian company RTS Lab have developed a drone that can help those in trouble out at sea.

Pars is a multi rotor drone that is able to fly above the water and is guided by GPS. It can carry up to three life preservers and drop them where they are needed to provide initial aid before a human lifeguard arrives.

A prototype of the drone has already been tested, and was able to reach a target 75 metres (246 feet) out to sea in just 22 seconds, when a human lifeguard took 91 seconds. You can see the test in the video below…
